During this course the students focus on vocabulary, section reviews and small presentations.
Theology of the Body for Teens is a program based on the series of 129 lectures given by Saint Pope John Paul ll during his Wednesday audiences in Rome between September 1979 and November 1984. The lessons cover such topics as the bodily dimension of the human person, the nature of human sexuality, the human need for communion, and the nature of marriage. Specific topics of study: Created for Love, Love defined: Giving versus Using, Naked without Shame, Hope and Redemption in Christ, Truth and Freedom, Language of the Body, Free, Total, Faithful, Fruitful, Marriage, Celibacy and Religious Life, Finding Your Vocation, Dating with Purpose and Purity, and Living the Good (and Free!) Life. During this course the sessions begin with some group reading and discussion. Each session has three short video segments with reflection questions, and chapter reviews.
Throughout the year the students also study the meaning and history of the Mass, participate in a Bible study, special Advent and Lenten activities that are multidimensional including daily journaling.
